ABOUT THE ROLE

  • As a Software Engineer you will have a unique and exciting opportunity to join a young and dynamic company, committed to delivering value added services in the investment product space.
  • You will be part of the IT Development department, responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining key business applications and services on our highly specialized investment product management platform. We value Agility (through SCRUM), Technology (through a modern micro-services platform) and Collaboration.
  • As part of the investment solution Development team, you will specifically contribute to a rapid growth of the business line.



Your tasks & responsibilities

  • Work directly with Traders, Structurers and IT units to implement a tool supporting new types of quantitative strategy, maintain and support key software solutions in Python
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designer and integrate front end components into application
  • Prepare technical documentation
  • Implement Python solutions that tightly integrate into our IT platform
  • Provide support for these solutions and your own developments
  • Being able to communicate and understand directly request from business
  • Build trust-based relationships with your colleagues and clients
  • Produce quality code while meeting ambitious deadlines
  • Be prepared to support production deployment and support if needed

Our requirements

  • Master in computer science, Engineering or relevant field
  • Solid and professional experience in Python programming skills
  • Being able to develop API and server-side application
  • Integrate with a backend service in .Net
  • Experience with Python frameworks (e.g. Django, Flask, Bottle)
  • Professional experience in SQL and simple SQL database management operations
  • Strong foundations in programming paradigms like Object Oriented-Programming, and agile development practices like Kanban
  • Track record of delivering working solutions in a short time-frame
  • Have design thinking approach
  • Solution-driven and keen to explore the world of investment banking and derivative financial products
  • Good knowledge of financial products or a strong interest in learning about them (a first experience in a financial company)
  • Good spoken and written English communication skills
  • Familiarized with. Net development
  • Financial background in either banking or the insurance industry
  • Experience of working with design thinking techniques in iterative sprints is an advantage to this role
  • DevOps experience configuration management, containers, virtualization, continuous integration and deployment Docker / Kubernetes / Google cloud / Jenkins / VueJS / javaScript
